We associate royal palaces with the queens and princesses of England, but in rural Harnett County, 30 short minutes south of Raleigh, a castle fit for a king stands proudly at Barclay Villa. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to cater a wonderful event at Barclay Villa, one of our new favorite venues.
A Brief History of Barclay Villa
Throughout its 200 year history, The Inn at Barclaysville entertained many of the East Coasts finest and most famous guests. Renowned to travelers for its delicious cuisine and delightful atmosphere, the storied inn became a destination in itself during the nineteenth century. Legend has it General Santa Anna once stayed at Barclay Villa.
Today Barclay Villa stands tall, blending royal elegance with southern grace and charm. Classy courtyards and flowing fountains surround the main building, providing a variety of backdrops for your wedding or corporate gathering. History is still being made at Barclay Villa.
What We Loved About Barclay Villa?
Beyond the majestic setting, the staff could not have been more kind and compassionate, making sure every part of the event was as enchanting as the venue itself. Furthermore, Barclay Villa is only thirty minutes from downtown Raleigh. We love that this royal palace is in the Triangle’s backyard.
For your big event, consider the Harnett County’s royal palace, Barclay Villa in Angier.
